NIH官網(wǎng)公告：The NIH Clinical Center is open and continues to function during the government shutdown. Patients currently enrolled in a protocol at the Clinical Center are able to continue their participation. However, at this time, the Clinical Center is not able to admit *new* patients - unless deemed medically necessary by the Clinical Center chief executive officer - if they are not already enrolled in a protocol. Please consult with your research team.

眾所周知，PubMed 是美國(guó)國(guó)家醫(yī)學(xué)圖書(shū)館(NLM)所屬的國(guó)家生物技術(shù)信息中心(NCBI)于2000年4月開(kāi)發(fā)的，可以提供生物醫(yī)學(xué)方面的論文搜尋以及摘要的數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)。PubMed 作為一個(gè)免費(fèi)的搜尋引擎，此次暫停更新，可能會(huì)給依賴于國(guó)外數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)資源的國(guó)內(nèi)科研人員帶來(lái)一些影響。
其實(shí)早在2013年，NCBI網(wǎng)站就隨著美國(guó)聯(lián)邦政府停擺暫停更新數(shù)據(jù)。當(dāng)時(shí)探索君就此問(wèn)題采訪過(guò)相關(guān)專(zhuān)家（2013年采訪），專(zhuān)家表示，NCBI暫停更新對(duì)中國(guó)研究者的影響更甚，由于中國(guó)尚未有自主的國(guó)家級(jí)生物信息學(xué)中心，中國(guó)生命科學(xué)研究人員高度依賴NCBI的服務(wù)。如果因?yàn)檎?、?jīng)費(fèi)或其他原因，這些生物信息資源對(duì)中國(guó)研究者真正關(guān)閉，必將會(huì)對(duì)中國(guó)生命科學(xué)的研究產(chǎn)生影響。
總結(jié)來(lái)說(shuō)，一方面，我們希望PubMed能夠盡快獲得經(jīng)費(fèi)，恢復(fù)正常運(yùn)作。另一方面，我們也不能一直依賴國(guó)外數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)資源，應(yīng)該做好“斷奶”的準(zhǔn)備。
此次PubMed暫停更新期間，有需要的科研人員也可通過(guò)ScienceDirect、Web of Science、Springerlink 等數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)進(jìn)行查詢。
